A Universal Language

silver-stream1-editHave you ever discovered something that’s so immense, broad and deep, that you wanted to share it but didn’t know where to begin? This is how I have been feeling for many months now, and I have finally concluded that there’s no right or best way to do it; I just have to start and let it flow.

I think I’ve discovered one of the universe’s languages, and this discovery has enabled me to interact with the universe and its people much better. It has also connected me to the universe in a very actionable way. I will try to explain my discovery and how it came about as simply as I can, but please bear with me as I lay down the basics. Ego and Universe

I approach Ego and Universe as a sort of balance, and my current context around “Ego” is mostly Jungian. So I use Ego to refer to the part of myself that is into survival, so he’s got a strong zero-sum perspective. He is “egocentric” in the classic sense. He is very personal, takes things personally. Life is all about him.

The universe is impersonal, vast, unknown, infinite. It contains all things that I can perceive and infinitely many things I cannot. I have found that I can create amazing joy by recognizing and appreciating Ego within the context of the universe. They seem to be opposite ends of a polarity. Continue reading “Ego and Universe”
